The Victorian Government’s Skilled Migration Program
The Skilled Migration Program (SMP) is responsible for the skilled migration program in Victoria, which aims to attract and retain skilled migrants to fill skill shortages in regional Victoria. SMP also sponsors skilled migrants to fill job vacancies in recognised skill shortages areas, using state sponsored visas.

Your local Council
The Greater Shepparton, Moira and Campaspe Shire Councils have partnered with the SMP to assist employers in the Goulburn Murray Region who are experiencing skills shortages. The Goulburn Murray Skilled Migration Coordinator can assist employers source skilled migrants to fill job vacancies.

The Department for Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC)
DIAC assesses applications from employers and skilled migrants in relation to filling skills shortages. DIAC also provide Regional Outreach Officers (ROOs) and Industry Advisers who can assist employers in the migration process. To assess whether your vacancies fall within the Skills in Demand list, you should contact your local Regional Certifying Body
